AFTERHOURS 402
Concrete was selected as the main material for its solid and continuous character, supporting the long linear form of the project. Transparent and colored glass are used to create contrast with the concrete and to bring light into the exhibition spaces.
AFTERHOURS reimagines Atatürk Forest Farm (AOÇ) as a continuous architectural and cultural route that extends public life beyond daytime. Rather than proposing a singular building, the project creates a linear spatial system connecting existing structures, landscapes and a series of exhibition stops.
The route incorporates exhibition pavilions, viewing points, performance spaces, greenhouses and gathering areas, each offering a different spatial experience. Light becomes a fundamental design element, transforming the architecture throughout the day and defining its character after dark. Through transparency, reflection and changing atmospheres, the project establishes a new relationship between architecture, landscape and public life while reconnecting with the cultural memory of AOÇ.
